Lily Allen

The video on that last post led me to a fantastic live version of LDN by Lily Allen and I figured "Why not post it and share it with fucking everyone!?" I am a very kind individual if I do say so myself.

Two of My Favourite Songs of All Time

And they are both by Sarah McLachlan.

Possession, from the album Fumbling Towards Ecstacy and...

    Adia, from the album Surfacing.

Sarah McLachlan is my favourite female vocalist, hands down, bar none.

    Keira Knightley Singing

Keira Knightley has such an amazing voice. This is a clip from her upcoming movie The Edge of Love, which I am now looking even more forward to. Here is a link to other clips from the film:

  • The Edge of Love Clips

  • There are other clips within those clips so watch them. Knightley, Sienna Miller, Cillian Murphy and Matthew Rhys all look and sound Oscar worthy. Knightley has also changed her speaking voice for this movie and it sounds....crazyinsaneEXCELLENT.

My 10 Favourite Grey's Anatomy Episodes

Grey's Anatomy is a very addicting show and I have been a long time watcher since the first season. I hate all the crap it has been getting about becoming worse and worse. For me, it's actually gotten better. Here is a list of my 10 favourite episodes, with captions underneath:

    10. Lay Your Hands on Me [Season 4, Episode 11]

Bailey's family faces a medical trauma just as her marriage is falling apart, George receives a very unexpected visit from his mother, and a faith healer wishes to forgo traditional surgery.

    9. The Becoming [Season 4, Episode 14]

A "date and tell" policy is instated at Seattle Grace after the nurses object to Mark's trysts, Cristina has to face her feelings for Burke and Meredith and Derek admit a veteran soldier into their clinical trial.

    8. Freedom [Season 4, Episode 16]

Meredith and Derek work on their last patient in their clinical trial, as the other surgeons try desperately to free a hardening block of cement. Izzie helps Alex care for Rebecca, and Lexie discovers important information about George's intern status.

    7. Didn't We Almost Have It All? [Season 3, Episode 25]

Cristina and Burke’s wedding day arrives – along with the interns’ first exam results – and a successor to the Chief is named, as Callie and George make a big decision about their relationship.

    6. Time after Time [Season 3, Episode 20]

When Izzie's daughter is brought to the hospital for leukemia treatment, Izzie is asked to donate her bone marrow in support. Derek finds that Meredith stands in his way of becoming chief. Marlowe continues to intrude on Burke and Cristina's lives with an impending surgery Burke will perform. Meredith becomes closer to her stepmother. Parents claiming to be Ava's come in to identify her but learn she is not theirs.

    5. Into you like a Train [Season 2, Episode 6]

While Meredith nervously awaits Derek's decision, her angst is interrupted by a train crash that brings several seriously injured patients to the hospital, including Bonnie and Tom, a pair of passengers who’ve been impaled on a metal pole. Addison Shepherd sees great potential in Izzie, who must decide whether her loyalty as Meredith’s friend outweighs professional gain.

    4. (As We Know It) [Season 2, Episode 17]

Despite the best efforts of the Seattle Grace staff, the code black situation escalates. Dr. Bailey gives birth in the midst of the circumstances.

    3. It's the End of the World [Season 2, Episode 16]

Meredith’s fears that she is in for a bad day are realized when a medical case arrives at Seattle Grace that threatens the lives of everyone in the O.R.

    2. Losing My Religion [Season 2, Episode 27]

Dr. Webber goes into interrogation mode about Denny's condition. Callie confronts George about his feelings for her. Dr. Bailey forces the interns to throw a prom for Dr. Webber's niece. Meredith and Derek are forced to make a decision regarding their dog. A fight between the two results in a long awaited reunion.

    1. Drowning on Dry Land [Season 3, Episode 16]

Meredith is still under water which no one realizes until Derek finds her coat. Izzie drills holes into a trauma patient's head who is experiencing seizures. George continues to look for a patient's lost son after providing her with false optimism. Alex finds no hope in searching for the pregnant Jane Doe's family as she undergoes surgery.

I have chosen "Drowning on Dry Land" as my favourite episode because it is the one that I had the biggest emotional response to, and of course, because it is the best. My second favourite clip from "Grey's Anatomy" comes from this episode. Izzie's moving speech on how and what she believes is amazingly heartfelt. .

I can't wait for Season 5 to start.
